THE ROOTED SCHOOL CONNECTION

We teach students and their families how their brains work, so they can make choices that lead to success, now and in the future. Everything we teach focuses on eight core strengths: courage, kindness, gratitude, respect, responsibility, resiliency, creativity and healthy living.

We're all about the brain (2).jpg

Technology, social media, trauma, bullying, mental health issues, transient students, poverty...the list goes on and on and it has a tremendous impact on our students and teachers. Statistically speaking, almost every student today faces at least one kind of adversity.

  • What if bullying wasn’t the first thing on everyone’s mind?

  • What if kids were able to resolve conflict through discussion?

  • What if grades improved because students knew how to set and attain goals?

  • What if students were resilient enough to view adversity as an opportunity for growth?

  • What if we reach all families, regardless of financial constraints or schedules?

  • What if we could build stronger children by building a stronger community?

The Rooted School Connection addresses all of these what-if’s and shows students and families how to grow and support healthy brain wiring.

We partner with schools and families.

The Rooted School Connection program is the home/school connection component to Grow Strong Roots, our K- Grade 2 SEL curriculum/supplemental program.

The Rooted School Connection directly impacts well-being and academic outcomes by teaching kids how to wire their brains for a lifetime of success, peace and empowered confidence. Kids and their families learn science-hacked, research-backed ways to mindfully weather anything life throws at them.

We teach students and families how to manage frustration and increase social skills.

Students will learn how to grow through the challenges of new learning, immediately impacting their relationships at home and school. All of this is done through learning mindful self-awareness. The level of social and emotional awareness and the ability to use self-regulation skills effectively is the biggest indicator of success in later life. Teaching these skills is going to help kids turn into teens and adults who can handle pressure. Once kids have these skills, they will be more likely to form bonds and connections that build the school community as a whole, changing your school culture, improving overall academic performance, decreasing bullying and providing the entire school body a path to success.

Programming for the whole family.

The Rooted School Connection is an entire year’s worth of family-centered programming meant to introduce or strengthen the social-emotional skills needed for success. Families will be provided with digital access to short videos that teach them about the brain, games, breathing activities, conversation starters, three levels of journals for all ages, including adults.

Simple pricing that fits your budget.

The Rooted School Connection has a simple per-school pricing model, unlimited families in a K-Grade 5 setting. Schools have been successful in funding our programming through grants. We are happy to help supply verbiage for your grant application. Learn more about pricing for The Rooted School Connection and Grow Strong Roots.

We are so grateful for all the tools that you have given our family. I’ve noticed a huge change in how Blake regulates his emotions. I’ve noticed that he tries to take a deep breath and slow down before he speaks, especially if he’s been told something he doesn’t like. He is recognizing more emotions in others as well.
It’s been amazing to see the difference between my preschooler who experienced The Rooted School curriculum and his brother who did not. He is able to regulate his emotions, solve conflict peacefully, and is aware of himself and others in a way my other son is not. I am grateful for the parent support so we can teach our entire family these methods.
