Mindfully Building Confidence, Focus, and Self-Regulation Skills Small Group Coaching

This small group coaching class helps children in grades K-4 helps children develop important life skills of confidence, focus, and managing self-awareness and emotions through self-regulation. Using mindful games, meditations, and yoga we will practice mindful techniques to help students identify behavior patterns and set goals to help themselves grow in cognitive, emotion, and social skills. This class is great for kids who may have difficulty diving into new situations, focusing on tasks, and recognizing emotional states in themselves and others. We will work on mindful growth mindset, kindness, empathy, gratitude, creativity and believing in yourself. Children will learn what using grit and regulating emotions looks like in the brain.

Group will meet from Tuesday from 5:15pm-6pm on the following dates:

4/9, 4/23, 4/30, 5/7, 5/14 , 5/28, 6/3, 6/11

Groups are limited to 8 students and meet once a week for 45 minutes for 8 weeks. Multi-skill level group learning lends itself to many rich peer-led teaching and learning opportunities and support higher level thinking skills allowing students to mindfully master skills. The last 5 minutes of each class parents will be asked to join and end the class with mindful skill goal setting, a child-led discussion of group learning that day, and a closing mindful activity to support connection and extension at home.
